Standard, Flush Mount Room Temperature Sensors are tamper-proof, easy to install

Metal Flush Mount Room Temperature Sensor

Standard Mount Room Temperature Sensor

Public buildings—from hospitals to schools to prisons— demand the use of HVAC controls that can provide premium performance as well as protection from tampering by occupants. Standard and Flush Mount Room Temperature Sensors, from Siemens Building Technologies, are easy to install and can meet the diverse needs of public space environments.

The metal, Flush Mount Room Temperature Sensor is designed to sense room temperature and relay the information to the Siemens zone controller. This sensor incorporates a temperature sensing element behind a blank, stainless steel switch cover plate that can be painted to match any surface wall. The room sensor is not only tamper proof, but the flush-mount design is for applications in which a covered room temperature sensor is not acceptable. In addition, the stainless steel switch cover plate is shock proof, offering protection against sudden impact in environments ranging from hospitals and prisons to busy school gymnasiums.

The Standard Mount Room Temperature Sensor is an alternative to the metal, flush-mount model. The housing is designed to expose the sensing element directly to the controlled space. The sensing element, found in the center of the device, is thermally isolated and protected from temperature effects behind a wall that may affect the accuracy of temperature measurement. The standard flush mount room temperature sensor comes with a plastic cover that is tamper-resistant, durable and can be painted to match any surface.

Both the Flush Mount and Standard Mount room temperature sensors a can be mounted easily to a 2x4 electrical box.
