New Siemens wireless room temperature sensor ideal for hard-to-wire applications
BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. (February 2003) - The new Wireless Room Temperature Sensor (RTS) from Siemens Building Technologies installs easily in almost any room or on any surface, and is the perfect solution for hard-to-wire applications.
By eliminating wall destruction, associated labor and new materials, the Siemens wireless solution can translate into big savings. The new sensor can be installed as a direct-mount, or by using a standard electrical conduit box or Velcro®. This feature makes it attractive for glass atriums, rooms with marble walls, or other places where it is difficult to install a sensor.
The Siemens Wireless Sensor also mounts easily on movable walls or other temporary surfaces. If needed, the sensor can be moved somewhere new every month. Convention centers, historic buildings, museums and construction sites are just a few places where wireless temperature sensing might make sense.
Siemens uses state-of-the-art communication technologies in this wireless system, which ties seamlessly to a new or existing APOGEE or System 600 Building Management System. The one-to-one sensor-to-transceiver design is a fail-safe and reliable temperature sensing solution.
In additional, the Wireless Sensor features
- Proven radio frequency link and P1 Communication Protocol technologies
- Multi-frequency hopping for signal integrity
- Transmission from 55 to 95F+ 0.5 degrees.
- Communication with the Transceiver and Terminal Equipment Controller, which can be located above ceilings or anywhere up to 100 ft from the RTS
- 100 feet transmission range
