Siemens appoints LeBlanc head of Building Automation business

BUFFALO GROVE, Ill., Oct. 4, 2004-- Siemens Building Technologies, Inc., has appointed Rick LeBlanc president of its Building Automation division, effective October 1, 2004.

In his new position, LeBlanc will be responsible for directing the growth and market strategies for the Building Automation division's systems, services and energy businesses, as well as continuing its tradition as the industry leader in customer satisfaction.

"With Rick at the head of our building automation business, we are confident that our customers will continue to receive the same high value systems and services to optimize their building's performance," said Daryl Dulaney, former president of the Building Automation division and now Chief Operating Officer for Siemens Building Technologies, Inc. "We will also see a renewed focus on growing our building automation businesses," Dulaney added.

Prior to his appointment, LeBlanc was president of Siemens Building Technologies' HVAC Products division, responsible for product development, manufacturing and distribution of the company's broad range of building control products and systems for the North American and Latin American markets.

Until his replacement is named, LeBlanc will continue to direct the business activities of the HVAC Products division.

With the company for nearly 18 years, LeBlanc has spent 30 years in the building controls industry with experience in building automation, lighting controls, telecom, communication systems, fire/security and elevators. His background includes product development and manufacturing, as well as management of field installations and service organizations.
