U.S. Bancorp selects Siemens Building Technologies, Inc., to maintain high-rise facility in Portland

Siemens Building Technologies, Inc., has been awarded a contract from Minneapolis-based U.S. Bancorp to operate and maintain its 1.2 million square foot facility at the U.S. Bank Tower and Plaza in downtown Portland.

U.S. Bancorp, a world leader in banking and investment services, enlisted Siemens to maintain building equipment, render cost-savings, and enhance customer service for Tower tenants.

"We look forward to partnering with a world-class company like U.S. Bancorp," said the Marketing Manager at Siemens. "We also acknowledge the Tower's high-profile status as Portland's premier office building and, therefore, intend to continue providing services that ultimately ensure tenant satisfaction."

Upon moving in as the new maintenance team, Siemens initially resolved problems in the central and heating plants. According to David Casias, maintenance and engineering manager for Siemens, engineers are currently seeking possible opportunities to improve building maintenance via equipment upgrades, energy savings and new lighting.

Through the Facility Management Services program, Siemens provides all the required daily services and labor force management, including central plant maintenance, water treatment, tenant request, building systems and subcontract management.
