Siemens Awarded Highest Accreditation for Energy Services

BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. (Jan. 21, 2004) – Siemens Building Technologies, Inc., was recently accredited by the National Association of Energy Service Companies (NAESCO) as an Energy Service Provider, the highest level of accreditation for companies serving the energy market.

NAESCO is a national trade association comprised of energy service companies, utilities, equipment manufacturers and suppliers, financial institutions and other organizations. The association provides leadership in the energy services companies industry by examining economic factors, new policies and legislation, cutting-edge technologies, as well as the growth and development of the energy services industry as a whole.

“This highest level of accreditation demonstrates our competency as an energy service provider to our customers,” said Bob Dixon, sr. director of Energy Services and Solutions at Siemens Building Technologies.

To receive this accreditation, Siemens had to prove it was capable of complying with a set of ethics, as well as provide a significant number of project and customer documentation to verify its competency in project development, energy engineering, project implementation and financial solutions in areas such as energy conservation, co-generation and supply-side services. The accreditation proves the governing board of the energy services industry recognizes Siemens as a reliable, ethical provider of energy products and services. Siemens joins a small, elite group of companies with this accreditation.

Siemens Building Technologies has negotiated over $3 billion in energy supply contracts and has guaranteed over $1.4 billion in energy savings since 1995. It is an industry leader in energy supply, consulting and conservation.

Headquartered in Buffalo Grove, Ill., Siemens Building Technologies, Inc., is one of 14 Siemens operating companies in the United States and is a leading single-source provider of cost-effective facility performance solutions for the comfort, life safety and security of some of the most technically advanced buildings in the world.
